QUALITY
OF INSTRUCTION
TVUSD
aligns its curriculum with state standards and
provides enrichment activities at the site
level to support instruction. The District
also holds a philosophy that each school
principal should be the Instructional Leader
on that campus.
As such, principals take an active role in the
learning process at each TVUSD school,
spending much of their day in the classroom.
TVUSD teachers are evaluated and given areas
for improvement by their principals. To aide
in this endeavor, administrators are trained
in evaluation skills.
This training is designed to help
administrators evaluate their staff in a
manner that will produce better teaching in
the classroom and thus enhance student
success. Staff development days enhance this
quest for excellence by giving teachers the
tools needed to succeed in an on-going manner.
PARENT
INVOLVEMENT Parent support, input, and
involvement is highly encouraged and appreciated. Parents can get involved
in a number of support organizations such as our PTSA, school-wide
Foundation, Grad Night Committee, or any of our booster organizations.
Each month the Principal hosts a Parent Forum open to any parent
who wants to discuss school-related issues or find out about programs
and activities.
