MISSION
STATEMENT Our mission
at Margarita Middle School is to encourage, motivate and challenge all students in a
safe and respectful environment so that they may develop academically,
socially, physically and emotionally.
POSITIVE
LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
Margarita offers many programs that promote a
positive learning environment. We support low-performing students with after-school homework
programs, literacy labs, math labs, peer tutors, Student Study Teams, counseling, etc. All students
have equal access to support in our after-school programs. GATE students are given many
opportunities to participate in assemblies, special programs, field trips, community service projects,
etc. All students have the opportunity to participate
in on-campus clubs, ASB activities, attend field
trips, see a counselor for support, and work with teachers and/or administrators, etc.

QUALITY
OF INSTRUCTION
TVUSD
aligns its curriculum with state standards and
provides enrichment activities at the site
level to support instruction. The District
also holds a philosophy that each school
principal should be the Instructional Leader
on that campus.
As such, principals take an active role in the
learning process at each TVUSD school,
spending much of their day in the classroom.
TVUSD teachers are evaluated and given areas
for improvement by their principals. To aide
in this endeavor, administrators are trained
in evaluation skills.
This training is designed to help
administrators evaluate their staff in a
manner that will produce better teaching in
the classroom and thus enhance student
success. Staff development days enhance this
quest for excellence by giving teachers the
tools needed to succeed in an on-going manner.

There are numerous opportunities on our campus for parents to become
involved. We have a multitude of committees in which we invite and
encourage parents to participate.
